She told me how bad things got in the bunker. That it practically turned into a cult. Octavia was on the warpath and found out Madi was a nightblood, and that's why I poisoned her. To stop her.

[Which doesn't make that truth any harder to swallow. But.]

The reason that Octavia wanted me dead and Clarke left me there was because I made Madi the new Commander. She said the only reason things got so bad is because she betrayed us.

[There's a slight pause between messages.]

And she showed me Monty and Harper's message.

[Bellamy had already been halfway to emotionally shutting down by the end of Clarke's summary, to be fair.]

[Bellamy's frustration will never end. He sends Murphy a GPS ping to his hotel, instead.]

[ Hmm. Murphy doesn't like that. ]

[ He leaves immediately, which is evident when he messages very shortly later: ]

[Clarke is right—Bellamy hold onto hurt too tightly. He's not ready yet to risk running into Clarke and Murphy at once. There's no way he has the patience to deal with that sort of tension, and he's still trying to process... everything. Maybe Octavia most of all.

When he gets Murphy's message, he heads down to meet him in the lobby. He's still keyed up, wound tight with tension, and he doesn't make any attempt to hide it. Bellamy jerks his head towards the elevators.]

Up here. Unless you want to have this talk in public.

[ He most certainly does not. Murphy stalks over to the elevators, letting Bellamy lead the way. ]

You live here now?

[jettisons]

No.

[It's an immediate, irritated response. When they reach Bellamy's door, it opens automatically.]

I needed time to think. You got a problem with that?

[ Don't mind Murphy walking just out of fist's reach, all the way from the elevator to the room. ]

Take all the time you need.

[Luckily, Bellamy isn't in a punching mood. When the door clicks shut behind them, he crosses his arms.]

[ Murphy's not just going to stand here. He drifts around the room, examining its details the way he did back at Clarke's. ]

So. Our new home planet isn't actually a planet. It's a moon. We figured that out when we went down to scout it. The solar system's got two suns, which is more important than we figured out at first. Anyway, the scouting team was what was left of Spacekru, minus Raven, plus Clarke and Shaw - one of the Eligius guys.

[jettisons]

Raven's fine?

[Silly question, maybe, but after Monty and Harper, he wants to make sure.]

Yeah. Yeah, don't worry. Shaw was our pilot for the mission, so we figured Raven should stay on the ship and not... you know... run around the woods.

[ And it's a damn good thing she did. ]

[jettisons]

Okay.

[It mollifies him a bit.]

Let me guess. The moon's where that toxin comes in.

[ Okay... Think... ]

Clarke can probably tell you more about the science. The whole thing's kind of a blur for me. Anyway, there was supposed to be a settlement down there. Descendants of another Eligius mission. But when we found it, the whole village was abandoned. Like everyone just got up and left. Recently. We were taking a look around and...

Then Emori lost her damn mind and came at me with a knife. And you know the rest.

[jettisons]

[Bellamy resists the urge to apologize again. It's instinct, whether it's necessary or not, but it's written on his face.]

And Octavia?

[reproached]

You wanted her to stay in cryo. You figured she'd put any peacemaking with the aliens at risk, which...

[ Yeah. ]

I don't know if she woke up with the others. I was really out of it. Honestly, I don't remember much after I came out of my death-coma.

[jettisons]

[Bellamy nods at that, gaze dropping to the floor. He could press Murphy on it, sure, but it's like he told Clarke—if he needs to make sure Murphy's not lying, there's no point in them talking.]

Alright.

[He's quiet for a moment, processing.]

How bad did my sister get?

[He can guess, of course, but something tells him Clarke didn't want to go into the nitty gritty details.]

[ He would ask if Bellamy's really sure he wants to talk about this, but he already knows the answer. So Murphy sighs and drifts closer to him. ]

As bad as she could possibly get. Worse than Ontari, which is impressive. She had people fighting in death pits to lower the population in the bunker. Like it was a game. It's how she was gonna kill you, too.

[jettisons]

Gladiators.

[It's half-mumbled, the connection made more for himself than for Murphy. Clarke left that part out, but he can't blame her.]

Clarke said they were running out of supplies.

[But it's clear even that knowledge isn't enough for it to make sense to him.]

Yeah. Seems to me like they could've picked something a little less barbaric if they really had to cull, but what do I know?

Anyway, I don't know much else about it. I didn't see it for myself.
